New 2020 Toyota Sienna Minivan Review

New Toyota Sienna at Toyota of Brookfield

The new Toyota Sienna is a seven- or eight-passenger minivan that crosses the line to provide one of the most sumptuous interiors in the entire segment. But it's more than just a pretty face: It can be configured to carry a load of cargo, or people or both. Now one of the safest on the road, it is equipped with a Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection (PCS w/PD), Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist (LDA w/SA), Automatic High Beams (AHB) and Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (DRCC). The standard Toyota Safety Sense P (TSS-P) makes it the only minivan in the segment to have active braking standard across all grades.

FEATURE RICH

The new 2020 Toyota Sienna is one of those vehicles that can be all things to anyone. Whether you have outfitted it to carry 7 passengers with a pair of captain's chairs or eight, with a pair of bench seats, it's a van that will do everything you ask of it. It is capable of carrying up to 150 cubic feet of cargo, and offers an array of in-car entertainment systems that will satisfy the most demanding of passengers. It doesn't matter whether it's the Entune 3.0 with Connected Navigation, or the upgraded Entune 3.0 Premium Audio with Dynamic navigation, Sound Staging, Low Frequency Sounds and Clari-Fi technology your Sienna's sound system is guaranteed to impress. And just in case the back seat riders are still not impressed, there is the available Rear Seat Entertainment System for the most discernable of movie-goers--your kids.

TO THE ENGINE ROOM

A powerful cruiser, the new Sienna features a 296 horsepower, 3.5-liter V6 engine producing 263 lb-ft of torque. It is mated to a Toyota 8-speed automatic transmission and now features an all-wheel-drive system with active torque control, as an available option on LE, XLE and Limited models. It's just the thing for those long months of winter when all-weather traction is so important. Not found in any other minivan, it makes the Sienna a clear choice if inclement weather is part of your life.

The Sienna can also be equipped with a tow hitch, via the standard Tow Prep Package that allows the Toyota Sienna to pull up to 3,500 pounds. Unit-body construction makes it a capable towing machine. The electronic power steering rack, MacPherson strut front and torsion beam rear suspension make it a capable handler.

At the end of the day, it is one of the most able vehicles on the road today, and one that will have you feeling confident when using it to take your family to school, take supplies home, or take a trip cross country. The choice is yours. Whatever you decide to do, the Toyota Sienna is up to the task.
